I’m going to Southern California to have my hyperthyroidism treated with radioactive iodine. Since we’re on the road and won’t have access to our usual blogging tools, I’m trying something different. I’ll tweet highlights you can follow me on Twitter if you want to keep up with my “adventure”.
This is what’s planned for the next week:
Day 1 – Long drive to Southern California
Day 2 – Specialist exam and thyroid imaging scan. Begin incarceration in vet jail solitary confinement.
Days 3, 4, 5 – Get radioiodine injection and wait for parole from vet jail.
Day 6 – Hopefully get released from vet jail.
Day 7 – Drive home
We won’t be sure when I get released until the end. It depends on how much radioiodine I get and how fast my body gets rid of it.
