Rearrange the furniture.
Raven was unsettled and very vocal this morning. Our usual fun & games weren’t satisfying her so I resorted to the one trick that always amuses her – rearranging her furniture. I moved her perches around and dragged in a couple from other rooms to create a kitty jungle gym. It’s a simple (although slightly back-breaking) trick that gives her something new to do and she has to think about how to get from one perch to the next. We played on the perches for about 5 minutes, but that was enough to get her out of her funky mood. She’ll be able to explore her “new” jungle gym all day before I put everything away so we can see the t.v.!

you are SERIOUSLY one PAWESOME kitty Mama!
What a fun idea ! Purrs
Wow! That is kitty paradise!!
Brilliant. Animals, like humans, need intellectual stimulation. You rock. ❤
Change is not always bad! Now things are more interesting.
Such a lucky kitty 🙂
That is one amazing jungle!!!
OMC, what an awesome idea! I love that you did that. My human can’t even buy us ONE cat tower (the one we have was a hand-me-down, and my castle is too small to be considered a “tower”). I’m glad it made Raven so happy.
I’ve had the tall perch on the far right since December 2002 … that’s 15 years! I’ve been very lucky in that my kitties have been very gentle on their furniture and don’t use them as scratching posts.
Wow what an amazing jungle gym!
such a great idea,xx Speedy
Holey Moley that’s a lot of cat trees!
And there are two more! We donated two others to the animal shelter after Sammi died. She was our three-legged kitty and needed extra perches side-by-side so she could navigate up and down safely.
How fun, Raven! This made me smile. It looks like PetSmart where they display their cat trees. I bet you had a blast.
Now that looks like fun, Raven!
I’m working on a post about the crazy/silly things we do for the love of our pets. I’d say this rates right up there – love it!!
